i posted a new story, doing ok so far, i was wondering tho, i like my super short tales, and Galbraith Rutherford is one of em, but i was thinking, should i take this off and re do the tale but give him an adventure, push that 1000 odd word mark?

I would leave it as is. Every story has merit. Don't forget this whole idea started out as short stories. I think to write short stories is an art in its self. I love to read short stories that make me think, and want more.
