Why would anyone post a story on the site and write "in development" i mean post a story but finish it first.

Is it some sort of defence mechanism so to convince themselves "just in case people think its shite  I’ll write that so they wont be so harsh"

Just finish it, its not a race it’s a war, you have time to work on it, remember its quality not quantity.
